How Tax Brew handles client data
These are the commitments we already make to every firm. Your firm keeps control of its systems, its clients and its filings.
What we do today
Data handling
- We sign a mutual NDA before any client data is shared.
- We work inside your own software rather than holding copies of client files.
- Financial data you share is used only to provide the agreed services.
- Access is limited to the team members working on your account.
- We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
- You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you (see our privacy policy).
Your firm stays in control
- US: your firm reviews, signs and files. We never sign or file returns ourselves.
- UK: you stay the agent with HMRC. We never act as agent with HMRC.
- US: we follow your firm’s IRC §7216 taxpayer consent process.
- UK: a UK GDPR data processing agreement is available on request.
- A Chartered Accountant reviews work before it comes back to you.

Questions, answered
How do you handle client data?
We sign a mutual NDA before any client data is shared, and we work inside your own software rather than holding copies of client files. Access is limited to the team members working on your account.
What about IRC §7216 and client data?
We know offshore preparation generally needs written taxpayer consent under IRC §7216, and we’ll follow your firm’s consent process. We work inside your systems rather than holding client files. (This isn’t legal advice; your firm decides its own consent process.)
Is a UK GDPR data processing agreement available?
Yes. For UK practices, a UK GDPR data processing agreement is available on request.
Who will actually work on the files?
Your files are handled by our team in New Delhi and reviewed under the supervision of a Chartered Accountant (ICAI) before anything is delivered to you.
